Bailey.jpg

Bailey

Bailey and his brother Ollie arrived at the Sanctuary when their human father was too unwell to look after them anymore. They are big boys who love nothing more than a catnip toy and a cuddle!

Bonnie.jpg

Bonnie

Bonnie and Clyde are an inseparable pair. They were found together on the streets with some pretty bad injuries, and so a good friend of ours made it his mission to rescue them.

Clyde was rescued first, but Bonnie couldn’t be caught that time around. Determined to keep the pair together, our friend returned again and managed to bring Bonnie home. Her time on the streets had taken its toll on Bonnie, and upon finally seeing a vet she had to have her three remaining teeth removed.

They have now joined us at Lola’s Sanctuary to be able to enjoy the freedom and safety of our enrichment area, as well as get all the specialist care they require.

Clyde

Bonnie and Clyde are an inseparable pair. They were found together on the streets with some pretty bad injuries, and so a good friend of ours made it his mission to rescue them.

It took our friend a long time and a lot of commitment to get these two off the streets and in a safe home together. Upon finally being rescued, Clyde needed to have his eye removed and they were both also suffering badly from cat flu. Despite Clyde having FIV, kidney disease and arthritis, he has made a great recovery!

Clyde is a notorious escape artist and has joined us so that he can enjoy the safety and freedom of our enrichment area. They have both settled so well so quickly, we are thrilled that they can now live out the rest of their days together, in safety, and with the specialist care they require.

Ebony.jpeg

Ebony

Meet the lovely Ebony. She was picked up on Saturday, covered in fleas, mites and injuries. But she has settled in quickly and is doing so well. She has had her first vaccinations and is already responding to her new name. Ebony just needed a loving home

Thank you so much to our Founder’s Mum and fantastic supporter, Lata, for helping with our rescue mission!

Jasper.jpg

Jasper

Jasper arrived at Lola’s Sanctuary after we got a call to rescue a skittish stray cat. He has slowly grown to love cuddles, particularly belly rubs! He absolutely loves Prince and is often found having a rough and tumble with him!

Kittens.jpeg

Leo, Lilo & Stitch (the kittens)

Leo, Lilo and Stitch are growing and getting more and more mischievous every day! Midnight (Mummy cat) was pregnant when she arrived with us and we are so glad that we were able to provide her with a home at Lola’s Sanctuary, otherwise these babies would have been born as strays. Instead, they have a safe and loving home for life!

Logan.jpg

Logan

Logan and Thor are best friends. They were both found in dustbins and established a strong bond in the rehoming centre. They were found with other kittens, however all of these kittens found a home early on in life. Logan and Thor were both left behind as Thor does not know how to use a litter tray. Lola’s Sanctuary offered them both a space and now they live happily with the other residents.

Lola.jpg

Lola

Lola and Pillo were the first two cats to arrive at Lola’s Sanctuary. The sanctuary is named after Lola as she was the first one to step out of her carrier, it's as simple as that! Both Lola and Pillo had been used for breeding and were discarded once they were no longer profitable. At Lola’s Sanctuary we don’t believe that any animal should be used for profit, and we love each of our residents exactly as they are!

Lorenzo.jpg

Lorenzo

Lorenzo arrived at the sanctuary with his brother Mason and his adopted mother Madison the dog. This little family travelled all the way from Romania to find their home at Lola’s Sanctuary. As kittens, Mason and Lorenzo suffered the sad loss of their Mum to poisoning. Fortunately, the kind-hearted Madison stepped in to take care of the kittens and raise them as her own. All three were found together as strays and have been inseparable ever since. At Lola’s Sanctuary, this unconventional family unit spend their days sleeping and playing together.

Midnight.jpg

Midnight

Midnight arrived with her three kittens (Silvermist, Tricky and Koko); they are some of the newest additions to Lola’s family. They were found living as strays after a block of flats was demolished and a group of cats were left behind. Lola’s Sanctuary couldn’t just take in Midnight and her kittens and leave the others behind, so the whole group (all 8 of them!) have recently moved into the sanctuary. They are all being very brave with their vaccinations and will soon be able to join the rest of the sanctuary’s residents to play in the sunshine and relax in the newly built catio.

Phoenix.jpg

Phoenix

Phoenix arrived at Lola’s Sanctuary with his bestie, Theo. Phoenix is an incredibly skittish cat who requires a lot of time and patience to learn to trust you. Once you have earnt his trust, he will absolutely adore you for life - meowing for cuddles and head bumps!

Prince.jpg

Prince

Prince arrived at Lola’s Sanctuary after we got a call to rescue a pregnant female. With the help of some kind friends who lived where the pregnant cat was straying, we managed to secure her. As soon as we checked to see how far pregnant she was, we saw that she was actually a he! Jasper has now been neutered and is enjoying sanctuary life.

River 21122020.jpg

River

Our old man River arrived at Lola’s Sanctuary after spending many years living rough on the streets. We estimate that he is approximately 10 years old. He absolutely loves taking over the sofa and watching cat TV!

Superman 21122020.jpg

Superman

Superman is an ex-street cat who has retired to spend his days lazing around Lola’s Sanctuary. He was brought off the streets and fostered by lovely people who got him health checked and groomed - the poor old boy was covered in fleas and severely matted, so had to be fully shaved! Our sweet Superman is also FIV positive; we will make sure he gets all of the special treatment and adoration he deserves now that he has found his forever home at the sanctuary.

Theo.jpg

Theo

Theo arrived at Lola’s Sanctuary with his bestie, Phoenix. Theo is an incredibly confident cat and has been known to travel across busy roads and junctions, previously making his way to other towns and locations. Theo needed somewhere where his enrichment needs could be met in a safe environment, so Lola’s Sanctuary stepped in to give him the type of home that could provide him with plenty of entertainment and love.

Totton.jpg

Totton

Totton arrived at the sanctuary after another wonderful rescue asked us to take him in. He has suffered some vestibular problems which have left him with partial hearing and wobbly knees. However he does not let this deter him at all, he still manages to jump quite high and is often found snuggled up to his girlfriend, Lola!

Sahana.jpg

Sahana

Sahana was the first dog to arrive at the sanctuary, and what a perfect first dog she was to introduce to the cats! She absolutely loves the cats, and is often found playing around the garden with them. Sahana arrived from Greece after her adoptive Mum sadly passed away, but she couldn’t be happier with her new found family at Lola’s Sanctuary.
